The story incorporates flashbacks rather effectively so you find out what happened leading up to the genocide and then you see how Deogratias deals with the afterm This is a tough book to read. The art is not super amazing, but it fits the story. Definitely adding it to the wishlist: Stassen is a journalist who lives in Rwanda, and his art is bold and clear, using different color palettes to seamlessly shift between before and after.

I absolutely loved the art! I just looked at their catalog and realized I’ve read a couple already, and I loved fale so much.
